Walk According to God's Purpose

15 July 2025

As Kim and I get our feet under ourselves after being gone for nearly a month, I want to leave you with the below verses and a short synopsis of what led me to share this.  I’m still trying to get it strait in my own mind how I’m going to present what, "I think I know; what I think I felt, heard and experienced and what I truly know”.  The one thing I do know we are protected by God’s hand.  What  I can share right now is that on Sunday, 13 July, 2025 at about 4:30PM, Kim and I experienced a blowout of the right front tire on our motor home while traveling at about 65 MPH.  Simultaneously we heard the “explosion”, I felt the jerk of the steering wheel to the right as the motor home also jerked to the right, and then we heard the ensuing thunderous noise coming from the right front wheel well.  At the same time I had the realization that I’m driving but I’m not in total control yet we stayed upright, we didn’t careen off the road and we got safely to the shoulder and stopped, fully off the road, in a fairly short distance.  That's the part I haven't fully wrapped my head around yet.

We Belong to Him

As we sat there waiting for assistance to arrive, this came to me, “It does not matter where we are, or what we are doing, as long as we are walking in God’s will we are fully protected.  I told Kim that there have been enough times that God has saved “our bacon” it just does not matter what happens, He’s going to take care of us. Then I remembered that Paul also said something similar and it can be found in Roman’s 8:31-39, “31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.

Like I said, I’m still wrapping my head around the whole incident and there is more to share but it will come a bit later.  The one thing I can leave you with today is that as long as you walk in God will, He’s going to be there for you and there is no reason to fear.  Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose”.

May you always walk in the truth!
