Forgotten Promises Resurrected, Matthew 19:26

Matthew 19:26 NKJV

But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Do you have a relationship!

Let me start by proclaiming, if you don’t know Jesus as your savior the power and authority you perceive that you have is a deception.  It’s a lie because without Jesus, it’s impossible to have real and lasting power.

Forthright!

Today, I’m going to be straight to the point.  If I ruffle your feathers today I’ll just admit you are who I’m really addressing and I meant to stir the beast inside you.  Why, because I wanted you to do some real and deep reflection on who you really are and who your master is.  It’s so sexy to be deceived today and so many are fooled that they are on the right path but in reality they fall short.  And I do t want you in the “fall short” category.  Jesus said in Matthew 24:4-5, “Watch out that no one deceives you.  For many will come In my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many…”

Where do you stand?

I’ve been going to church for the vast majority of my 58 years and it’s very apparent there are a lot of church goers that profess to be Christians, but in reality they don’t have a relationship with God the Father, Jesus or Holy Spirit.   They go to church instead of being the church, they are there to please man and fill the “moral” square, On church day they put on a show of how righteous they are but the rest of the week it’s impossible to separate them from the world.  In short they are going through the motions but they either don’t truly believe or they have found a niche within the church body that they take advantage of one way or another.  These people have a unique ability to lie, deceive and manipulate to get what they want.  Many times it involves getting perceived power and/or authority.  Actually as prevalent as it is, I’m sure we have all come across people like I’m describing.

He Came to set the Captive Free

I read a book last year written by Rebecca Brown titled, “He Came to Set the Captives Free” and what a powerful book that illustrates where real power comes from and how evil’s mission is to destroy.  And I’m destroying there is power but it’s limited is scope and duration.  And is succinct in letting the reading know that real power comes from Jesus.  I highly recommend reading it.

Matthew 19:26 NKJV, But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Remember, Matthew 3:33-26 “He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true. For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

Do realize you choose your Master?

As the imposters lie, coerce, manipulate, and deceive to obtain their perceived power and authority but never even imagine it is temporary but, the people that have a relationship with Jesus really have authentic and lasting the power and authority.  Real power and authority doesn’t in include lying, coercion, deception or manipulation but rather TRUTH.  And there is nothing more powerful than the truth.  And the great thing, anybody can access this power and authority just by repenting of their sins, acknowledging that Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected 3 days later and asking Him to be your savior then submitting to His power and authority.  It’s as easy as that.  You must set aside your pride and admit that you are not as strong as you would like to think you are and that real and everlasting power is only available through Jesus.  John 14:6 is a popular verse where Jesus states very plainly, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Don't be Deceived

We are warned that a superficial, man pleasing, religious attitude will not be enough to enter the gates of Heaven. Matthew 7:21-22 says,  “Not everyone who says to Me,‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!”

It's Urgent

Lastly, time is urgent and your actions have eternal consequences.  Please make sure you are on the right side of the fence when the final second of your life on this Earth ticks away.

May You Always Walk in the TRUTH!
