Don't Be Too Fast to Answer.
Before you answer, because I can imagine that a lot of people that are reading this will immediately say yes or no. I’ll be straight with you, the only ones I can truly believe are the people who said no. Let me explain and then you’ll have to answer for yourself if you really believe the Bible.
Everyone has a Story, What's Yours?
Many people that say they believe the Bible don’t really know the Bible. But they know what correct answer is to the question. If your answer is not a definite “no” then it’s either “I don’t know” or a definite “Yes”. I want to hone in on the definite “yes” people. Why, because Jesus warned us not to be deceived. If you rely on others such as a pastor to tell you about the Bible you’re behind the eight ball. Each of us must do our own due diligence when it comes to the Bible. It’s called our sword in Ephesians 6:17 for a reason. We must each know how to wield our sword with courage, humility and wisdom. We can only accomplish that if we put the work in to get to know, inside and out the Holy Bible.
Are You Prepared for War?

Take for example, Matthew 4:1-11 where Satan, the temper, tried to get Jesus go against God. However, Jesus knew the Word of God and replied with the phrase “ It is written” three times before the devil finally left Him. This is a perfect example of how the Bible is in a sense a “Warrior Manual”. So, how do you expect to be a spiritual warrior if you don’t know the manual or how to wield your sword?
Will You Be DECEIVED?
Jesus said in Matthew 24:4 when His disciples came to Him and asked, “…what will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age?” Jesus answered, “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, “I am the Christ” and will deceive many…”
If you are a not scholar of the Bible Satan will be able to deceive you because he’s so cunning. He simply twist God’s word enough that the meaning is changed and if you don’t know the Bible you’ll more than like be deceive. Not unlike Eve in Genesis 3:4, “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:”. Which was in direct conflict of what God commanded Adam in Genesis 2:17, “but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
These are two examples why it’s important for us to know, study and meditate on the Bible.
The first part of, “Do you believe the Bible?” You first must answer for yourself if you know the Bible first hand well enough to believe it or not and know when it is being used erroneously. Second, if you believe that you actually believe the Bible or at least you believe what you know of the Bible. A sure fire way to test your belief is, ask yourself, “have you made the Bible the way you live? For instance, do you memorize verses but don’t apply those verses to your life. Do you have Bible knowledge but you haven’t incorporated that Biblical knowledge into your life, I’d question if you really believe the Bible. And if that is true, it opens a whole can of worms about who you are, who your master really is, and if you think it’s important enough to address.
It's Essential to Be Vigilant!
Be careful not to be deceived. It’s important not to be laissez-faire about knowing the Bible, aka your war manual, your sword. Eternity may hang in the balance for yourself or others that you influence. If that doesn’t put the fear of God in you, I don’t know what will.
If you don’t know God’s commandments or the covenants He’s given or the promises He has given us, how can you have power or authority over evil if you are ignorant of what your power and authority is? It’s easy to say that you have power and authority straight from Jesus, but do you care enough to actually know and have confidence in said power and authority?
Are You With Me?

Let’s go back to the initial question because it might feel like I’m off track but not so fast. If you truly believe God’s Word, the Holy Bible, you know, your Sword, you'd be so drawn to it that it would be hard to put down. You’d also realize, personally, why the Bible is referred to the Living Word. For example, at some point my Bible started to speaking to me in ways I never imagined was possible. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the Bible is factual and is the historical events for at least the last 6,000 years. I believe the Bible so much so, that I can safely say that there is nothing political but everything is Biblical. In saying that, I know I’ll ruffle a lot of feathers but when you delve into the Bible you start to understand the war we are in. You'll also create a stronger and stronger relationship with God. It’s easy to say that people are after money and power and for many those are the reasons they get into politics. But, if you know the Bible, you would also know, that money especially the love of money and power are temporal and a deception from Satan to keep people from the truth. If you know the Bible you also know that the real battle is for souls and where those souls will spend eternity. You would also know that there is nothing more powerful than the truth. Take for instance John 14:6 where Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life…”. If you believe the Bible then you also believe Jesus is the Truth and therefore there is nothing stronger than the truth. If you believe the Bible then you know there is no reason to fear because Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose”. Now, I’m concluding that if you believe the Bible you also love God and you’ve repented of your sins and accepted Jesus as your savior. If my conclusion is correct, then because of Romans 8:28 every situation becomes a win-win situation for those who love God and are called according to His purpose.
Let Your Yes be Yes, and Your No be No.

Don't fool yourself. Before you say you believe the Bible what do your actions say about your belief in the Bible? Do you carve out time in your busy schedule to read, apply, and meditate on the Bible? Do you take time to learn how to wield your sword with clarity and precision? Or, is it on your bedside stand or on the shelf collecting dust? If the latter is true, what does that say about you? Now is a good time to remind everyone, most things I write are for the readers to self analyze and self reflect and come to their own conclusions with prayer. Sometimes an honest dose of personal insight is the best medicine. To be straight forward, there was a time in my life that I could easily talk the talk and make it look like I was walking the walk but I was only fooling myself and people around me. I knew the truth, I even purposely talked about how I needed to give more time to God but something always got in the way. Most people that knew me would say that I was a strong Christian but I knew I was capable of a whole lot more and God gave me gifts to be able to do a whole lot more. However, I fell into the trap of self glorification and then thanked God for my abilities that allowed me to glorify myself. So, if you feel I’m poking you in the the eyes, I'm not here to judge and we all have our own journey. At the same time, I'm confident in what I write because I was a master at making people believe I was a strong Christian. I have an analogy for you to help explain what I truly mean. If being a strong Christian could be categorized on a scale of 1-10 and I was operating on a consistent basis as an 8 most people would believe I’m a strong Christian, right? However, I knew with the Lords involvement and His exponential growth I could have been easily operating at 10 times that . That comes to at least 80 on a scale of 1-10. Does 8 still feel like a strong Christian? Only if you are trying to please man, then 8 is good enough. But, we have to remember, we are here to glorify God and an 8 is dismal when it could be at least an 80. Where are you operating at? What is important to you? Is it temporal or eternal? Where could you operating? Who are you pleasing? Now, you can answer the initial question, “Do you believe the Bible?”

Time is of the essence and the battle is for souls and eternity! The winner takes all, and the loser has hell to pay.
May You Always Walk in the TRUTH!
